Examination of Lexus RX 350 SUV

Iconic brand Lexus recently launched its fifth-generation RX large luxury SUV for 2023. According to Caranddriver, the 2023 Lexus is a complete redesign of its predecessor, the fourth-generation crossover. Some changes to the interior and exterior of the RX include: a curved roofline that curves towards a tinted C-pillar, a raised grille, and slimmer taillights with a sleeker notch design and center light bar. The stunning looks of the 2023 Lexus RX are completed with standard 19-inch wheels or optional 21-inch wheels for a sportier look. Given that the new Lexus RX is built on the latest GA-K brand platform, it is highly likely that all models will be available in a hybrid version, especially in regions with strict fuel emission regulations.

Engine, performance and transmission

According to Forbes, the 2023 Lexus RX comes with a wide array of upgraded powertrain features, most of which are electrified. This new SUV model is powered by four engines, but details on only three of them have been released. They understand; 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with eight-speed automatic transmission for the base RX with 275 hp. and maximum torque of 317 lb-ft. There’s the F Sport Performance model, which is powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine making 367 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This top-of-the-line RX is equipped with the new Lexus Direct4 all-wheel drive system and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.

The third engine is a 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder hybrid that makes 246 horsepower and 233 maximum torque with a CVT transmission. Although it’s fairly underpowered, its combined fuel economy is 33 mpg, which is better than the base RX. In addition to the rear-mounted electric motor, the new Lexus RX F Sport Performance Hybrid comes with all-wheel drive as standard. It is optimized to improve traction on dry roads as well as on icy or snowy roads. The 2023 Lexus RX features improved brakes and safer handling so you can enjoy outstanding driving performance even on long-distance road adventures. Compared to the Lexus RX 350,

Unfortunately, Lexus hasn’t released full details of the 2023 RX’s interior, but a few things are known. For example, the wheelbase has been extended by a few centimeters to leave enough legroom for rear and front passengers. The touchpad controller that made the user interface very complicated and clunky has now been replaced by the new Lexus infotainment system. This new infotainment system features an easy-to-use touchscreen with a pair of physical dials that allow you to quickly set your desired in-car temperature for the front seat climate control.

Based on extensive testing of the new Lexus user interface, it has been proven that it is not very user friendly. Nonetheless, it allows the user to easily navigate the infotainment menus. The mechanical switch used in previous models has now been replaced with an electronic one. Other noteworthy interior features of the new Lexus RX include: customizable ambient lighting, a head-up display, keyless start and a panoramic sunroof are among the technical equipment typical of a luxury SUV crossover model. 2023 Lexus RX SUV model is available with wood trim in Black Open Pore and Ash Bamboo. typical of a luxury crossover SUV model. The 2023 Lexus RX SUV model is available with wood trim in Black Open Pore and Ash Bamboo. typical of a luxury crossover SUV model. The 2023 Lexus RX SUV model is available with wood trim in Black Open Pore and Ash Bamboo.

Safety and driving assistance features

The 2023 Lexus RX features some of the latest driver assistance features branded Lexus Safety System +3.0. They understand; pedestrian detection, lane centering, lane departure warning, active lane control, cornering speed control, radar adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, emergency braking systems and motorcycle pre-collision detection, and as well as other integrated driver assistance systems. Since the Lexus is a product of Toyota, it’s no surprise that it comes with a wide range of driver and passenger safety systems. In RX 2023 old, the slow-paced trackpad interface has been replaced by a latest generation infotainment system with a much larger 14-inch center touchscreen and a much more efficient user interface. There’s also a new parking assist system that allows for head-first parking maneuvers rather than having to return to the correct vehicle position as with previous models.
